FT. LAUDERDALE, FLA. – The second-ranked (third seeded) Nova Southeastern Women's Tennis team began play at the Sunshine State Conference Championship Tournament facing the six seeded Rollins College Tars. The Sharks defeated the Tars 4-0 in the opening round.

DOUBLES

• Isabella Ciancaglini and Kristyna Hranacova dominated Nancy Liu and Amina Taibi with a 6-0 win.
• Ita Habekovic and Julia Moraes clinched a convincing 6-1 win over Nina Mitrofanova and Polina Vlasova.

SINGLES

• Kristyna Hranacova defeated Nancy Liu in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1.
• Isabella Ciancaglini took a strong 6-0, 6-2 win over Milla Falster.
• Julia Moraes secured a straight-set victory, 6-0, 6-4, against Amina Abdulloeva.

Nova Southeastern returns to the courts tomorrow Saturday, April 26th to face #2 seed Embry-Riddle in the Semifinals of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament at 1 p.m in West Palm Beach, FL at Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
